The Children Badminton (儿童羽毛球) 此课教授学生打羽毛球技术和基本功。介绍所需的羽毛球球拍基本技能，运动和协调。课程将涵盖干净利落和扣杀动作，从后面的净降/在前面，网 盘，国防，净杀 等战略和战术。 根据中文学校的全学年课程的安排，羽毛球课原定总共为31堂课。可是其中一个周日，我们所用的高中学校的场地将会有其他的活动 ，那么原定的羽毛球课的课时也会受到停课一天的影响。在学生的学费上，中文学校已经为此做过考虑，所以学生在报名时所付的学费是30堂课时的学费，而不是全年31堂课时的学费。 This class will teach students the basic foundation of badminton techniques and footwork from a badminton professional coach. The program introduces the basic racket skills, movement, and coordination required for badminton. Class will cover proper clearing and smashing action, net drop from the back/at the front, net drive, defense, net kill, underhand service. Single strategy and Tactics. The class will be held in big gym. 4-6 player/court. Badminton (羽毛球) class schedule May be impacted once in the school year when the gym is planned to be used by other organization. The tuition for the class is being adjusted for whole school year accordingly. |

CACC Youth Basketball class is designed for young players to learn basic basketball skills and team work. This class will be split into fundamental drill and scrimmage session. Our coach will teach skills from dribbling, passing, to position and game strategy.The class will be taught in English. Please note: the class will be from 11 to 11:45 during CCOP CYO Basketball playoff season which is expected to be from Nov. to Feb About the Coach: Basketball coach Alvin Ye was born and raised in Washington, D.C. and now lives in Tri-Valley. He has loved basketball since he was a child and loves basketball teaching. He is currently coaching at Amador Valley High School as an Assistant Coach for their JV Boys Basketball team. |

Coach Xiaoqian Shen has a volleyball career of 15 years. She won the first place in the Chinese Youth Volleyball Physical Fitness Test in middle school and entered Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics with outstanding results. CACC Youth Volleyball Class, 排球班, is designed for young players to learn basic volleyball skills and team work. Our coach will teach basic skills, positioning and game strategy based on student age and skills. The class will be taught in English. Due to the CYO basketball game season impact in Amador Gym, from end of Oct to mid of Feb, there will have only one hour class, 11:00am-11: 45 am, no 12pm classes during the season. The class fee is prorated for the class time to reflect this impact. All students are required to bring their own volleyball to the class. |

Advanced: 1. Learn key tactical motifs, i.e. pins, skewers, forks, discovered checks, and positional sacrifices. 2. Learn to take advantage of weak opening play by opponents, building up a kingside attack, building pawn centers. 3. Learn and practice forced mating combinations in two and three move patterns. Students will be asked to choose and learn a working knowledge of four openings, two for white and two for black, and be prepared to show their opening ideas of a game of their choice in class. Note: Need teacher's recommendation to enroll.The classes will be taught in English. |

A great number of traditional and modern Wushu bare-hand and weapon routines such as: a variety of Long Fists, southern style, Yan Qin Quan, Cha Quan, Hong Quan, Fan Zi Quan, Di Tang Quan, Eagle Style, Tong Bei Quan, Drunken Style, Snake Style, Monkey Style, Broadsword, Sword, Spear, Staff, Nine Section Whip, Rope Dart, Double Broadsword and sword, Long Tassel Sword, and many routines from E Mei and Shao Lin. We have more than one hundred different kinds of routines for to learn and to choose from, so students can continue their training at our school for an extended period of time and will always have some new to learn. Wushu class also emphasizes self defense and Sanshou training. We teach many kinds of techniques in grappling, throwing, wrestling, punching, kicking, free sparring and the improvement of body power and stamina. *** This class teaches martial arts and disciplines. One way to show the spirit and compliance with disciplines is to shown in student's uniform. In addition, the uniform is specifically measured to student's individual size, providing proper gear for the training provided in this class. All students in this class will be measured for the size at the beginning of the class. The cost of the uniform is $75, which is not included in the class tuition. Note: Some students may buy the used uniform from formal class students if size matches. The classes will be taught primary in English. |
